Obituary of Ruth Florita Green

Ruth Florita Green passed away on August 1, 2017 at St. John Medical Center.  She was 82 years old.  Ruth was born in Beggs, Oklahoma to Everett Henry and Anice Marie McDoulett on April 30, 1935. 

Ruth was one of 4 children.  She graduated from Depew High School and attended Tulsa University and obtained a Business Certificate.  She worked as a Purchasing Manager for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for more than 40 years.  Ruth married Jackie Glen Green in 1955 and they were together for 62 years.  The couple had one son, Jackie Lee Green.

She liked flowers.  A special favorite was Tropicana roses.  She enjoyed watching Nascar races, having nice cars and jewelry, shopping and playing with her 2 great-grandsons.  The most important thing to her was her family.  She didn’t just shop for herself, she was always buying things for her 2 great-grandsons and loved giving to others.  She was happy, caring and loving.  She will be greatly missed.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Anice McDoulett; and two brothers, Earl Henry and Robert Lee McDoulett.  She is survived by her husband Jackie Glen Green; son Jackie Lee Green; granddaughter Amy Castillo and husband John; sister Margie Collins and husband Bud; and 2 great-grandsons, Jackson and Jaythan Castillo.  She was happy, caring and loving and she will be greatly missed by her family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Kellyville City Cemetery.  Visitation is from 5-8 Wednesday at Green Hill Funeral Home.  The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.  9192242312 / www.greenhillok.com
