Obituary of Opal Fay Johnston
Opal Fay (Williams) Johnston was born May 9, 1924 in Quentin, Oklahoma to Leonard Arthur Williams and Edie (Terrell) Williams. She was residing at Arbor Village when she went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2017 at the age of 93.
Opal love God, her church and her family and friends. She considered her caretakers at Arbor Village her adopted family. Opal always had a smile. She was asked why she was always smiling and her reply was that God gave her that smile. She was a homemaker, a talented seamstress and enjoyed crochet.
She was preceded in death by husband Willis R. Johnston; her son Freddie Johnston; parents Leonard Arthur Williams and Edie (Terrell) Williams; siblings Ruby Stice, Gladys Adams, Sadie Drager; George Williams, Glen Williams and Herbert Williams. She leaves behind daughter Janice Raby and husband Dauane Raby; grandson Dauane Raby, Jr. and wife Amanda; grandson Randy Raby; great-grandsons Matt Raby, Jason Raby, Randal Raby, Justin Raby and Jackson Raby; great-granddaughters Tammy Cantrell and Kayla Raby; and a host of great, great-grandchildren.
Opal was at peace when she passed because she knew her destination was Heaven and she would see her Lord and Savior. She knew she would be reunited with her many loved ones that had gone before her. Opal was a wonderful woman - not perfect, just forgiven. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 12-6 on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. The family has entrusted Green Hill Funeral Home with the services. 918-224-2312
