Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Cook
Mary Elizabeth (Broadhead) Cook was born November 30, 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona to Earl and Beary (Blackburn) Broadhead. She passed away at The Gardens Nursing Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on November 19, 2017.
Mary lived in Watsonville, California and moved to Oklahoma in 1971. She met David “Bud” Cook in 1972 and they were married in 1980. The couple was happily married until his passing May 14, 1999. Mary worked as a waitress for more than 30 years. She loved to crochet, listen to her police scanner and take care of her 3 dogs; Missy, Cocoa and Dusty. She loved to garden and lived to cook.
She is survived by her only daughter, Alana and husband James Morrison of Sapulpa; son Fred Overbey; son Mark and Cindy Overbey; son Larry and Tina Overbey , all of California; grandchildren Misha and Jesse Montgomery, Tina and Nathan Owen, Gary and Jennifer Frederiksen, Coreena Overbey, Brittany Overbey, Makena Overby, Jennifer and Jermel Harris, Denise Morrison; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in South Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 pm on Sunday. The family has entrusted the services to Green Hill Funeral Home. 918-224-2312 / www.greenhillok.com
