Obituary of Wanda J. Goodman
Wanda J. Goodman passed from this life November 17, 2017 in Sapulpa, OK at 87 years of age. She was the fifth and last child born to Luther Lillard Wilson and Ida Mae Pippenger Wilson on September 12, 1930 in New Mexico. Her family moved to the Kellyville area when Wanda was a child. She graduated from Kellyville High School in 1947 and married J.D. Goodman on September 1, 1947 at Blue Bell Church. She lived most of her life in the Kellyville area and made her home on the Goodman farm west of town since 1954. She and J.D. reared five children. She was a homemaker and was actively involved in the community. She began attending the Kellyville United Methodist Church when she was nine years old and remained a life-long member. Wanda was a talented artist, seamstress, and quilter. She loved to read and always had a witty response. She was a wonderful cook and always had room at her table for one more plate. In their retirement years, she and J.D. enjoyed traveling.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, J.D. Goodman. She is survived by children David Goodman and wife Kathy, Susan Holley and husband Frank, Glen Goodman, Sarah Keiffer and husband David, and Mary Littrell and husband William, nine grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 at the Kellyville United Methodist Church.
