Obituary of Wilma Jean Wilson
Wilma “Jean” Wilson was born in Camp County, Texas October 28, 1926 to parents John and Myrtle Moss. She passed away in her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma on November 19, 2017.
Jean married Richard Wilson and the couple had 3 children; Patty, Margaret and David. She worked for Kerr Glass 20+ years before retiring. Jean had a variety of interests, she enjoyed bowling, dancing, ceramics, going to the casinos, playing dominoes and camping. She liked to travel and especially enjoyed the ocean where she would spend time beach combing. She had a green thumb and, with the help of her husband Richard, always had flower and vegetable gardens. Her family enjoyed her home canned vegetables, jellies and her Heavenly Hash candy. Jean loved having people in her home and she never knew a stranger. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Chris Reed, sister Margie and brother Charles. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wilson of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; children Patty Peters and her husband Dan, Margaret Schmidt and her husband Larry, David Wilson and his wife Pat; grandchildren Neal Belt, Crystal and James Hendricks, Leo Kitterman, Carly Peters, Jenna and Anthony Murphy and Zachary Peters; great-grandchildren Shea, Alex, Sebastian, Autumn, Zepplin, Bree, Journey, Abraham and Serenity; and brother W.A. “Bo” Moss.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is scheduled on Friday from 5-8 pm. Green Hill Funeral Home 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa, 918-224-2312
