You Daddy was such a sweet, sweet man. I was a long time neighbor growing up on Fairview St. I will always remember him riding that bike and selling ice cream to all us kids. Dear Laura and Paige and families. Your Uncle Dick and I are so saddened by the loss of your father. I remember him well. So very friendly and kind. AND a lover of fires. He built a fire in our fireplace in July! With the air conditioning going but a beautiful fire to sit by! Uncle Dick rememberers the weekends at Gabe's at Grand Lake. Frank was a longtime friend--since first grade at Forest Park Elementary. My first job at age 16 was at The Democrat News where the whole Gierhart family became lifelong friends. Over the years, Frank and I kept in touch, our last in-person encounter occurring in September 2015. The memorial piece in Route 66 captured his interests well.
