Obituary of Gladys R. Channell

Gladys (Broomhall) Channell was born in Isola, Mississippi on June 18, 1927 to Finis and Ruth Broomhall.  Gladys went to be with the Lord December 13, 2017.  She was 90 years old.

Gladys married Halbert Channell and the couple enjoyed 68 years of marriage until his passing in 2013.  The couple was blessed with 3 children, Hal Jr., Elaine and Diane. Gladys enjoyed traveling and she and her husband traveled all over the United States with her brother and sister-in-law.

Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church in Sapulpa for more than 60 years.  In her younger years she loved to cook, bake and entertain.  She loved having family gatherings and having people over to play cards.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Finis and Ruth Broomhall; husband Halbert Channell; and siblings Junior, Charles, Johnny, Jerry and Barbara.  She is survived by children Hal Channell, Jr. and wife Judee; Elaine Gladd; and Diane Brumley and husband Kenneth; siblings Earl Broomhall and wife Barbara; Doris Brown; Carolyn Wood; and Gayle Crabtree; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
