Obituary of Cleon Laverne Kreider
Cleon Laverne Kreider went to be with his lord on December 19th, 2017 at the age of 80 years. He was residing with his grandson, Jeramiha Wiles, and his family in Broken Arrow, OK when he passed.
Cleon was born on January 6th, 1937 in West Springfield, PA to Kenneth Kreider and Alberta Bateman. He loved his country so instead of going to high school, he chose to sign up to join the Air Force. He served his country from January 1955 to May 1959 when he was honorably discharged with a good conduct medal.
Cleon had 3 daughters, Virginia Thomas of OH, Colleen Rae-Steward, and Carolyn Wiles. From his 3 daughters, he had 6 grandchildren and around 11 great-grandchildren. Cleon worked and retired from the glass factory in Sapulpa. He loved tending to his acreage, cracking black walnuts to send to loved ones and gardening. He raised chickens for many years as well, until his health declined.
If you state that Cleon was a "sweet man", you didn't know him well enough. He made his mistakes in life but he was a man with a one of a kind spirit and a fire in his soul. He loved but he did not spoil. He was not afraid to tell you what he really thought either. He had his faults but he was a wonderful, giving man with a fierce demeanor who loved his church family at Sunrise Baptist. He was a man of his lord and he would do what he could to help those who needed it.
Cleon joins his wife, Bea Kreider, and his daughter Carolyn Wiles, as well as his grandsons, Heath and Jason in heaven.
Cleon’s viewing with the family is set for December 26th, 2017 from 11am to 1pm at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa, OK. His funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on December 27th, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa, OK with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow for family at Sunrise Baptist Church in Kellyville, OK.
The family is asking for donations to cover the remaining funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.
