Obituary of Carolyn V. Sorrell

Carolyn V. (Dunegan) Sorrell went to be with the Lord December 21, 2017 at the age of 79.  Carolyn was born in Osceola, Arkansas on August 24, 1938 to Ted and Lena Dunegan.  She made her home in Batesville, Arkansas, Osceola, Arkansas and Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Carolyn received her High School GED and was a licensed cosmetologist and homemaker.  She married Jerry Melvin Sorrell on March 13, 1968 in Amarillo, Texas.  Her greatest accomplishment in life was her love for her family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Jerry Melvin Sorrell of Sapulpa, OK; her daughter Pamela Hamilton and husband James of Sapulpa, OK; her grandchildren Jesse Hamilton and his partner Trevor Collins of Chicago, IL, Justin Hamilton and wife Erica of Sapulpa, Anthony Hamilton and wife Stacy of Sapulpa, OK; her great-grandchildren Gabriel and Preston Hamilton of Sapulpa, OK; her brother Bill Dunegan of Osceola, AR; her nieces Angelia Gibbs and husband Brian of Memphis, TN, BillyAnn Taylor and husband Jason of Gosnell, AR; her nephew Tyler Dunegan and wife Carolyn of Osceola, AR and many in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lena and Ted Dunegan; her son Michael Sorrell; her sister Betty Dunegan and her brother Bobby Dunegan.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9 am until 2 pm.  918-224-2312
