Obituary of Shirley Ann Pleasant
Shirley Ann was born to Myrl Edward and Virginia Lee Lytle on August 27th, 1942. She was born at home and at home thus went to be with our lord on December 23rd, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father Myrl; mother Virginia; brother David; sister Nancy; and granddaughter Francis Ann. She has gone to stay with them in the house of the Lord.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Pleasant, her steadfast companion for 57 years; Her son & daughter-in-law, Eddy and Crystal Pleasant, their three children Jennifer Cramer, Crissi Gilreath & Melissa Buntin and spouses, and great-grandchildren Sadie, Harrison, Sawyer, & Macy; son Alan Pleasant; and Daughter & son-in-law Kelly and Frank Hamilton, their two children, Cassie Mufich & Alexis Dye and spouses, and great-grandchild Rosemary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley lived her life with a passion for family and the Word of God, often tucking keepsakes into her family bible. She cherished her family, and had a flare for fashion and a notable addiction to shoes and country western shows. She loved her husband Robert fiercely, and would chat on the phone with her sister Nancy every day at 4 pm until her sister’s passing, ever her best friend. Not a grandchild went unspoiled nor a family member that couldn’t call when in trouble. She was the glue that held an enormous family together, and that binds them to this day. She will be missed by all greatly, but her legacy of faith and family will always live on.
