Obituary of Ronnie Dean Rice

Ronnie Dean Rice of Bristow, Oklahoma went to be with our Lord on December 22nd, 2017.  He passed peacefully at his home at the age of 62. 

Ronnie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Sterlin and Estes Rice on March 26, 1955 and was raised in Mounds, Oklahoma.  He was married to Hope Sorrell on December 28th, 1973 and together had three children.

 

Ronnie was an accomplished auto body specialist, winning many certificates, awards and honors during his career.  He loved restoring classic vehicles.  He also loved to play guitar and sing with family and friends.  He was so talented and could play anything with passion.

 

Ronnie is survived by daughter Dawnya Wenninger and husband Justin, daughter Angela Kimball and husband Vince, step-son Rhett Gilner and wife Angela, step-daughter Desiree Wogu and husband Israel, grandchildren Chelsea Gregor and husband Ryne, Monika Kimball and Casey Hutton, Caitlyn Bean and Gavin Sykes, Ryen Kimball, Michael Wenniger, Zander Kimball, Evan Wenninger, Annaleigh Wenninger, great-grandchildren Payton Hutton, Madison Gregor, Alayna Sykes, siblings JoAnn Young and husband Marvin, Larry Rice and wife Shelley and many nephews, nieces and friends.  He was preceded in death by his son Rickey Dale Rice, his parents Sterlin and Estes Rice and brother Gerald Wayne Rice.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel located at 400 E. Teel Road Sapulpa, OK.  Burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Officiant will be Ronnie’s cousin, Randy Courtney.  Honorary Casket Bearers are: Dale Robison, Vince Kimball, Justin Wenninger, Ryen Kimball, Michael Wenninger and Ronnie Smith.  Public viewing will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017.  A reception will be held after the service in Angela’s home.  In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Green Hill Funeral Home to help with Ronnie’s final expenses.
