Obituary of RUBY RYALS

Ruby Lorene Ryals, 89, died peacefully with her family present, Sunday November 18th at the Christian Care Center in Mesquite TX. She was a loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Ruby was born in Okemah, Oklahoma, August 30, 1923, to Perry Crawford and Mamie Etta Grady Crawford. She was one of nine children. Ruby and Howard moved from Wagoner, Oklahoma to Minnesota in 1963 and while in Minnesota, Ruby worked as a school cook at the local high school in Rosemount. She was an active member of the Church of Christ. Ruby loved to quilt and crochet. In 1985, she and Howard retired to Sapulpa, OK. During much of their retirement, they enjoyed time camping and fishing at the Pine Island Resort in Grove, OK. Ruby is preceded in death, by her husband Howard. They were married for 70 years prior to his death in June 2012. She is survived by her 4 children, son Dwight Ryals of Wagoner, OK, daughter Linda Romberger, and her husband Jim of Allen, TX, daughter Pam Legvold, and her husband Rick of Corpus Christi, TX, and son Perry Ryals, and his wife Kristi of Shakopee MN and five siblings, Gladys, Amber, Rosalie, Faye and Sturlin. Ruby has 4 grandchildren, Todd, Jason, Linda, and Bailey, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: www.alzfdn.org or www.cccinc.net. Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
