I have fond memories of Helen Reeder. In the 1980s, she and husband Bill were members of the Mounds Auxiliary Police Department along with me and other concerned citizens of the community. She & Bill also helped during the days of the annual Mounds Jamboree Celebration by loaning their travel trailer to be used as a "control booth" for various informational functions at the center of the celebrations. Later, I recall her playing various musical instruments at John & Elsie Stiger's restaurant north of the Mounds Hotel. Her willingness to help in these civic functions is much appreciated.
