Obituary of Mary Ruth Pruitt

Mary Ruth (Clayton) Pruitt was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on December 6, 1959 to Sular and Flossie Clayton.  She went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2018.

Mary and Robert Pruitt were married on March 18, 1981 and began their life together.  The couple was blessed with two children, Daniel and Christopher.  Mary was the family “rock.”  She lived for her grandchildren.  She always made sure they had what they needed or wanted.  She attended every church program and school function she could.  She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren as well.  She was the best “Memaw” they could ask for. Mary enjoyed sitting on her porch, just being outside, and watching the hummingbirds.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Pruitt; grandson, Michael Lee Grayson Pruitt; sister Ladessa and brother John.  She leaves behind her husband Robert Pruitt; son Daniel Pruitt and wife Ricki; grandchildren, Christopher, Brooklynn and Baylee Pruitt, all of Oakhurst, OK.  She is also survived by her siblings Mickey, Alvin, Betty, Gary, Terrie, Bill, Skip and Jodie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary will be greatly missed but she leaves behind a treasure of memories for those who loved her.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Sunrise Cemetery (Kellyville).  Visitation will be from 5-8 pm at Green Hill on Friday, March 9^th.
