I often thought about your mom and where she was living. I sent her an invitation for our 50th anniversary party but received no response. She and Ralph were always there for family events. Imogene was always there to support Mom. She was such a caring person.
I am sad to see the news sent from Jerry.

I am very sorry for your family's loss. Sometime ago in years past I became acquainted with your Mother at a funeral service at Ridgeway Baptist Church. I had probably known her sometime when we were growing up, but I just don't remember. However, on that day at Ridgeway she made a huge impression on me and I've never forgotten her and can still see her face and smile in my mind.
Judy, I don't remember not knowing you. Connie, you were a few years younger, but I remember most seeing you riding your bicycle after I moved back to Sapulpa for a period in the eighties and nineties. I don't remember your younger siblings.
Your Mother was so very enjoyable to visit with on that day and to this day when I drive by what was Ridgeway Baptist she comes to mind. I know she will be missed immensely. I do rejoice the pain and suffering she was experiencing has ended for her. She will always reside in a special place in my memory.

Birdsong clan your mother grand grand grand mother was a true blessing to all who came in contact with her. She could and usally was two or three steps ahead of you but would not play her hand unless she had to. All she ever showed me was kindness with some tuff tuff love thrown in when needed. I had to have my appendix out in 67 Mrs. Birdsong was one of two nurses at hospital with one more at Dr. Cales office who could draw blood. The only time I heard mamaw Mrs. Cecil Tuttle curse was when a nurse had tried eight times to draw blood unsuccessfuly she let loose a barrage your mom came in talked me into giving her two trys said the second was just for good measure. Got me some ice cream talked about everything but what I was worried about and had me stuck before I knew she was trying. At that point she was my bud for life. She always treated me with respect even though I didn't always deserve. We got Joi Lynn thru high school with both of us working on it from different angles. You made it joilynn and became a nurse like her I'm sure she was over the moon with that. I'm rambling but imogene you will be missed and remembered I am sure you are glad to be reunited with Ralph the two of you can compete with my mom and dad in dance competition just like old times I loved you lady and I'm saddned by your passing but also truly looking forward to telling you this when I next see you and Ralph your bud jd

Sending hugs and my deepest condolences to my Oklahoma family. Aunt Ima Jean was one special lady. So easy to talk to and I loved hearing her stories, and boy did she have stories. I know Uncle Ralph was at the pearly gates welcoming her with open arms. She will be missed by so many. Praying for you all during this different time.
Much love,
Brenda
