James (Jim) Webb age 90, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Northside Nursing Home in Sapulpa. He was born on June 17, 1922 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Theodore Webb and Hazel Hoffman-Webb. He served in the Merchant marines during World War II. Jim was a retired Truck Driver. Jim is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Norma Webb; a special companion for 9 years, Gladys McGill; and his best friend for 55 years, Walter Long. Jim is Survived by his daughter, Lynn Chancey and Eddy; son, Dan Webb and Debbie; grandchildren, Jade and Edie Chancey, Coleman Webb, Whitney Webb, Brian and Missy Lewis, Matthew Lewis; great grandchildren, Ari, Daine, L.J., Tyson, Samantha, Austin, Conner, and Myles; great great grandchildren, Dayton, and Amberlyn. Service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday December 27, 2012 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at South Heights Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gary Brown, Darrell Williams and Dan Webb. Casket bearers will be Jade Chancy, Coleman Webb, James Nelsen, Daine Chancey, James Nelsen, Jr., and Matthew Lewis. Honorary bearers will be Tyson Hennip and Brian Lewis. The family would like to express a special thank you to Northside Nursing home and their employees for the quality care giving to Jim during his stay.
