Obituary of Bonnie Rhea Asher

Bonnie Rhea (Wilson) Asher was born in Shirley, Arkansas on January 27, 1932 to parents Dan and Nina Wilson.  She went to be with the Lord March 26, 2018 at the age of 86.

 

Bonnie lived with her family in Choctaw, Arkansas for many years.  They moved to Wilson, Oklahoma where she attended high school, graduating in 1949.  She played fast pitch softball, was very athletic and had a super left hand fast pitch.  She married Elmer Asher in 1954 and the couple, along with Elmer’s two children Connie and Monty, began their life together in Caney, Kansas.  They moved to Oklahoma where they were blessed with the birth of their son, Scott Asher. Bonnie was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. She was caring, cheerful and had a wonderful smile.  Bonnie loved to sew, garden, and spend time with her animals. Her pride and joy were her two grandsons whom she loved with all her heart. She really enjoyed watching them play sports.

 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Asher.  She is survived by her son Scott Asher, his wife Nancy, and their two sons. Also, Connie Hamilton, Monty Asher and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
