Obituary of MARVIN YEAGER

Please share a memory of MARVIN to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marvin Leonard Yeager (Marvelous Marv) was born in Lone Wolf Oklahoma on December 22nd, 1927 to Norman S. Yeager and Grace L. Yeager. As a young man, Marvin developed an incredibly strong work ethic and did whatever he could to make money. Although he wasn't old enough, he wanted to serve his country and managed to enlist in the Army Air Corps toward the end of WWII, and served until his superiors learned his age and he was honorably discharged in 1946. As a young man, Marvin loved Jesus, Country Music, Cars and Playing Pool and all these things served him well as he grew older. Although he didn't have much formal schooling, he became a solid business man, owning multiple used car lots over the years, a Pool Hall and eventually training some World Champion Pool Players. He was blessed with good looks, a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit and there wasn't anything he couldn't do with a Car, Pool Cue or a Guitar. Marvin was also a recorded Country Singer who performed on such Tulsa Television programs as the Betty Boyd and John Chic morning shows in the 1960's and early 1970's. He had the opportunity to sign a major Recording Contract, but chose against it to remain close to his family. He met and married Anna Stout and became an immediate father to Ann's Children, Debbie and Chuck Stout, whom he treated as his own. Marvin and Ann were also blessed with a 3rd child, Marilyn in 1962, who became "Daddy's Girl". While Ann and Marvin eventually divorced, he was always Daddy to Marilyn, Chuck and Debbie. Marvin continued to remain active in the Car Business, as a wholesaler, he continued to sing and play pool until recently. Marvin was called to the Lord on February 11th and leaves behind his Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and a host of many others whom were fortunate enough to have met him. We are better for having known him and will always cherish the time we had with him.
