Elva Rongey was an absolute blessing to my life.
She was a wonderful, kind, well spoken person who I adored dearly. I had the HONOR to be a friend in her care, and help her while she was at Manorcare in Tulsa, and extend our friendship to her home in Kiefer. She will be forever missed!
She told me, I am your MiMi too, always call me MiMi, because you are family to me. Rest well MiMi! You are an amazing person and I will never forget you.
Sincerely,
Anthony

I was so sorry to hear about Elva Lou's passing. I didn't know her very well, but she always smiled and spoke to me anytime I passed her at a ball game. All of my kids and grandkids who knew her thought the world of her. She was like the mother and grandma every one wanted. You are so blessed to have had her as your mother and grandmother. I'm sure having someone like her in your lives you will have lots of wonderful memories to cherish. We will all miss her smiling face. Your family will be in my prayers.

Dearest Mother:
We loved you dearly & our hearts are heavy. We will think of you every day & especially during any Kiefer events, OU or St. Louis Cardinal's games! We would give anything to see your name pop up on the caller I.D. just one more time. You were the heartbeat of our family & will truly be missed. You served our Savior & Lord, Jesus Christ all your life & know you are now walking those streets of gold, without that wheel chair. We look forward to seeing you again for our family reunion in heaven. All our love Mother! Rest in peace you suffered enough.

Mama,I just pray that you know how very very much we love you and how very precious you are to us all.As we thought, the church was full of people to pay tribute to that very loving meme. My heart hurts so badly missing you and I know you are in God's loving arms taking care of all gone on before you. Thank you for teaching us about heaven and we will see you soon. Love & Miss you.

To Ms. Elva Lou, What I can say.. Other than the fact that you and your entire family have been a part of my family since I can remember. What can I say? Is that the 'I miss Mayberry' song is the first thing I thought of when I heard about your leaving us. What I can say.. Other than the fact that I always looked forward to our basketball games against Kiefer. I knew without a doubt that you would always be there and be sure to 'gig' me before, during, and after the game! Either way you always hugged my neck after the game. What can I say? Is that 'I miss Mayberry', where people pass by and they call you by your first name. What I can say.. I loved knowing that every Sunday that you would be in our church. I always knew that you and your entire family would be on the left side of the aisle and mine on the right. To this day I still wonder which family matriarch (Elva Lou or Jo) picked which side first? What can I say? Is that you have and always be the MRS. Mayberry of my life, and I will always think of you as the Royalty of the Rongey family and the Queen of the Kiefer Trojans. I love you Elva Lou, Amie

Every summer the "Elliott" family would visit Kiefer to spend time with the "Kiefer clan". I always remember Elva Lou begin a big part of those great times, overwhelming lunches and delicious outdoor dinner feasts. My mother always expressed to me during those quiet times of life's reflection fond memories of her adopted sister, Elva Lou. She will be deeply missed by all. Life does not work as if our time is infinite. The hand of God limits our time. The clock of life is wound but once, And no man has the power To tell just when the hands will stop, At late or early hour. Now is the only time you own; Live, love, work, and with a will; Place no faith in tomorrow, for- The clock may then be still.

There just are no words to express how very sorry it was to hear this. Elva Lou was a wonderful and gracious lady who had a heart for the children of Kiefer. I have many fond memories of her at the Trojan. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
