So this is it.. This is what its like to be the oldest..never did I imagine Id have to fill your shoes in that capacity... We went from being twins, ( when Mom dressed us alike all the time) to me being your " co- pilot" cruising town in your Cheville that would only turn right because the fender scraped the tire if we turned left..so we'd act all cool and drive around the block to school till a right turn could be made without being embarrassed in front of the whole school!..Laughing still about the time we "borrowed" the flashing road sign out front of our house only to have Momma and Daddy ask " whats that light blinking off and on upstairs." You and I both straight faced said " we dont know"...then waiting till they werent looking to get it put back on the street.. Wow!! Its no wonder that when we went around town people would say, " theres one of those Herod girls now"... Probably wondering what we had been up to, huh! Fast forward several years later.. We all are married and live our own lives.. Some with grandbabies now. Well we will always be the Herod girls .. You may have left us early but you will NEVER be forgotten! I love you.. See you soon enough.. Behave yourself and everytime I see a tiedyed shirt Ill think of you!
