JC HILL JC was born May 9, 1927 in Borger , Texas to John and Bradus Hill. J C worked hard all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World II. After his discharge, he worked in the oil field. Most of his life, he worked for Frisco Railroad where he was known as "Jack" and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. J C was preceded in death by his wife Ada , sisters: Lois Beaman, Joann Stice, Bonnie Buckner, Mary Jordan, and Patricia Miller, twin brothers Norman and Neal Hill, Tom Edd Hill, and son Garland Hill. Surviving J C are his brother Ben Hill of Sapulpa; sons Darrell Hill of Cushing; James Hill & wife Linda, of Tahlequah and Michael Hill of Sapulpa. He had 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces & nephews. JC entered heaven, his eternal home, on January 3, 2012 ______________________________________________________ A Few Observations of JC's Sons: A few of the things we learned from our dad was to respect others and not to take ourselves too seriously. He showed us how to work hard. Dad had a sense of humor second to none. He loved to go out to dinner and would never let us get the check. It was an argument we never won. Life never threw him a detour where he ever failed to enjoy the scenery. He over came all of life's obstacles and was always happy where ever he was. ______________________________________________________ Comments from JC's daughter-in-law, Linda: I am very thankful to have had the chance to get to know JC. When James and I were dating, JC seemed so serious and did not talk much. After we were married, we were home for two years, with a break from the military; we attended church with him and his wife. Still I never really got to know the real JC. But in 2007, JC and Ada began to need help. So James and I helped with cleaning, laundering, cooking, shopping, their medications and paying their bills. At this time, I really got to know JC. To me he was so funny; he was so witty, and quick to pop off a joke. He kept me laughing. I learned that James had inherited his joking from his dad. After every trial: him going into a nursing home, Ada dying, and his loosing his leg to diabetes, JC seemed to always be happy where ever he was. After his 2nd amputation, he was in a lot of pain. He would say, "Lord, now what?" and "Lord, I don't know how much I can take." JC was ready to go to heaven but he would always say, "I'm not ready to get on the next bus load!" In the hospital, after JC's 3rd amputation, he came out of surgery joking. I thought, "He is going to be OK." I visited with him 1 week before he died and I asked him, "Do you know who I am?" And he said, "Yes." I said, "Tell me my name." And he said, "NO." I said, "Why?" And he said, "It will come to YOU in a little while." In the end, JC's body was worn down with trying to breath with pneumonia. His body got tired and weak so he left this world and went home to see his mama, Bradus Hill, his son, Gary, & all his brothers and sisters. I will truly miss JC, and I am proud to call him my Father-in-law.
