Obituary of HOUSTON SPAKE

Houston Leland Spake was born and raised in South Carolina. He was preceded in death by parents, a brother, and a sister. He has one surviving sister, two children, three step children, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Houston spent many years serving others, beginning with a tour of duty in the United States Air Force. Later he became valuable member and volunteer in his church. He loved playing inspirational hymns on his guitar and singing for church services and at Senior Music Night. His wife of 32 years, Glenna, was the love of his life. He referred to her as "Susie" or "Susie Q." They enjoyed spending as much time together as possible, singing and listening to music, cheering for their favorite basketball team or NASCAR driver, and spending time visiting with family and friends.
