Sterling Griffin, 86, from Booneville, AR formerly of Sapulpa, OK passed away September 5, 2013 in Fayettville, AR of heart failure. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters, his wife Marcella and one son, Bruce. He worked for Boeing in Wichita, KS and American Airlines in Tulsa. He also served in the military. After retirement he moved to Arkansas where he lived for 20 years. He loved gardening, wood work, golfing, hunting, fishing and square dancing. He loved to play dominoes and being with his dear friends at the Booneville Senior Citizens Center. He loved to sing and write poetry. He enjoyed cooking and making his special BBQ sauce. He is survived by 2 daughters, Sterella Marketic and Pam Griffin, 1 sister, Loretta Greenwood, his sweetheart, Charlsie Hunt, her 2 children, son Chris Hunt and wife Sherrie and Daughter Lynn Gillespie. He was Papaw to Chris Hunt's children Kenneth and Kaylie. He is also survived by one grandson, Chris Griffin and his family, numerous beloved nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends. God called a wonderful angel home to heaven and he will be dearly missed by all. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Beams of Light Church. 1831 S. Water, Sapulpa, OK (the corner of Muphy and Water just off Main St). A second Memorial Service will be held in Booneville, AR on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Heritage Addition Church of Christ (HWY 10).
