Obituary of PAMELA DUNBAR

Pamela Ann (Stover) Dunbar was born on November 24, 1943 in San Mateo, California to John "Pete" Amberson & Dorothy Louise (Henderson) Stover who after World War II moved the family to Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  She graduated Class Valedictorian from Sapulpa High School in 1961.  She graduated from University of Tulsa College of Business, Magna Cum Laude in 1978.  She worked for nearly 30 years in the Tulsa aerospace industry.  Pam passed away the morning of January 29, 2012 after a courageous struggle with cancer.  Pam is preceded in death by her loving parents, Dorothy & Pete, her infant brother, John Kris, her aunts, Dolores Galbraith and Daphne Diehl and uncles Dale and Don Henderson.  Her only son, Dow Michael Dunbar, married Cynthia Gale (Harlow) in 1996 and they have two beautiful children, Bryce Amberson & Georgia Gale, both of who meant the world to Pam.  Dow and his family reside in Seattle, WA. Pamela is also survived by her brother, Kim Richard Stover of Tulsa.  She leaves behind her beloved aunts Delaine Cunningham of Jenks & Diana Carroll of Tulsa, many wonderful cousins including, Sue Works of Houston, Lana Dee & Don Evans of Allen, TX. ,  and Lester Dale and Suzie Henderson or Sapulpa, OK. Also many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends & neighbors, including Suzanne Tutton, Velma Andregg, Ladonna Robinson, Susan Peters, Ginny Vargas, Patty Johnson, Joyce Kellione, Nansi Lemaster, Kathy Lyons, Heather Proia, Tom Large, Holly Doner & Jackie Dunn, and Kraig McFarland.  Pam was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother, sensational sister and fantastic friend.  She was recognized in the Tulsa chapter of Master Gardeners.  Pam enjoyed gardening above all, but also creating all things beautiful from stain glass, knitting, quilting and the care of her home in Tulsa.  She will be forever missed.
