Laverna Rose Boyles was born in Sapulpa, OK on March 14, 1938 to Clifford (Jess) Busbee and Pearl McGuire Busbee. She passed from this life on May 8, 2014.
Laverna enjoyed the outdoors and her family. She was employed at the Sapulpa Daily Herald for 20 - 22 years, then retiring once and returning to work as the circulation manager until she finally retired.
Laverna was preceded in death by her husband Hollis of 32 years (21 years ago); her parents; and her sister Jo Lea Brooner.
Laverna is survived by her three children, Vonda Higgins and husband Gary of Pampa, TX; Patti Curry and Husband Tim of Sapulpa; and Lonnie Boyles and wife Jodi of Sapulpa; sister Rea Workman and husband T.W. of Stillwell, OK; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. (918) 224-2312 / www.greenhillok.com
