My heart aches for everyone's loss, each feeling the loss in their own unique way for Pat touched us all in so many different ways. When I was growing up near Chicago, Pat, Gene and the kids lived in Gary Indiana at the time. The adults made it a point to visit often. Every time a trip was planned you always knew the menu - home fried chicken to a rich golden brown, mashed potatoes, lots of other vegetables, bread of some sort. Tea or pop to drink. Watermelon usually, plus an array of sweet tasty deserts. It was always fun and boy how I miss those times with my great aunt Pat, great uncle Gene and all 5 kids (all grown now). All I can say is I love you all and wished I could be there with you. Pat was a very special lady to me as was your dad. Take care and hopefully, somehow, we'll get together to see how we all look as our older selves. XOXOX
