Obituary of Robert Lane Thomas

Robert "Bob" Lane Thomas Sr. passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his residence, at the age of 81. He attended Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, Northeastern A&M College in Miami, OK and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1956 with a degree in Animal Science. Bob raised and bred thoroughbreds for many years. He was a member of Block & Bridle AQHA and a member of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Judge William M. Thomas; mother, Mildred Thomas; daughter, Teresa Louise Thomas; and brother, Judge William M. Thomas Jr. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Thomas; son, Robert Lane Thomas Jr. and wife Paula; son, Mark King Thomas; daughter, Deborah Jane Thomas; son James William Thomas and wife Vicki; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild; 2 nephews and 1 niece.
