Cecil Clifford McCall, age 88, a longtime resident of Sapulpa, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born on December 26, 1919 in Stroud, Oklahoma to John H. and Clara E. (Hodge) McCall. On May 24, 1940, he married Rachel Strain. Together they raised three sons. Cecil served in the US Navy during WWII and was a retired electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 584. He started his career in 1946 and retired in 1982. His favorite pastime was tinkering and redesigning things in his garage. He enjoyed working with anything he thought he could make better.
Cecil is preceded in death by his brothers; Clarence, Everett and Charles and his sisters; Ruth and Elsie. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Rachel; his sister Hazel Wilcher of Sapulpa; sons; Ronald McCall and Norma of Glenpool, Dewain McCall and Gladys of Sapulpa and Phillip McCall and Tina of Mannford; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
