Obituary of BARBARA DEFOREST

Barbara Sue Landers DeForest was born November 27, 1944 in rural Bristow, Oklahoma to Lewis Benjamin and Ava Lee Gartman Landers.  She departed this earthly life on August 4, 2008 at The Gardens in Sapulpa.She is survived by her husband, John DeForest of Idaho, daughter, Treva Matuszyk and husband Tim of Illinois, son, Dale Thompson Jr. and wife Teressa of Sapulpa, daughter, Mary Ann Downs and husband Dusty of Sapulpa and stepson, Adam DeForest of Idaho.  She is survived by twelve grandchildren, Ciara and Timara Matuszyk of Illinois, Daine, Lynndsey, Jacob and newborn Jace Evan Thompson, Journey and Jade Nevels, Blake Wilson, Braden, Ben and Bethany Shay Downs, all of Sapulpa.  She is also survived by one sister, Norma Jean Jones and husband Gene of Alexander, Arkansas along with a multitude of nieces, nephews and other family and friends that will miss her dearly.She was preceded in death by her mother, father and three brothers, Clifford, Ralph and Ray Landers, all of Oklahoma.
