     Sam "Papa" Slavens 63, of Oakhurst passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 in Muskogee. He was the owner of S&S Foreign Cars and he served in the Vietnam War in the US Army.      Sam is preceded in death by his parents; Gus and Naoma Slavens of Oakhurst; a brother, William Slavens of Hackett, Arkansas. Sam is survived by his wife, Marilyn of the home; 4 children, Michelle McIntosh of Las Vegas, Sammy Slavens of Sapulpa, Sandy Taff of Jenks, Dana Cannon of Bartlett, TN.; 8 grandchildren; Justin & Brooke Rothhammer, Brandon & Brittany Slavens, Jessica, Meagan & Trey Taff and Dillon Cain. Visitation: Family Only: Tuesday, August 19, 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Public:  Wednesday, August 20, 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Service: Thursday,  2:00 P. M.  August 21, 2008 First Baptist Church Sapulpa,  Oklahoma Cemetery: Green Hill Cemetery Sapulpa,  Oklahoma
