William (Bill) L.N. Farley, age 76, a resident of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on September 12, 1931 in Kusa, Oklahoma to David Farley and Lula Adams-Farley. Bill was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Graham High School in 1954. He then attended Okmulgee Technical School and Conners State College. Bill married Frances Evans on May 30, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas. He was employed as a salesperson and retired after 20 years with Otasco and 20 years with Fitch Welding. He had many interest and hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, flea markets, lawn mower repair and many others. He was an active member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Frances, of the home; his children; Bill and Jacque Farley and Dr. Neil and Lisa Zachs: grandchildren; Cameron, Tanner, Kiley and Olivia: brothers and sisters; Floyd Farley, Alvin Farley, David Farley, Marshall Farley, Pearl Craft and Mary Rose Gressett: special family members, Jim and Shelia Evans, Alan and Carolyn Evans and John and Pat Fletcher, in addition to many special nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and by a beloved granddaughter, Lily Abigail Zachs.
He will be missed by his church family at Eastside Church of Christ and his numerous family and friends.
Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2008 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the interment to follow at Green Hill Memorial Cemetery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The family has chosen to entrust the care of the servcie to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home.
