Frank L. Barber, 78, passed away from this life August 28, 2008 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born July 8, 1930 in Oilton, Oklahoma to Cleo L. Barber and Ruby E. Tamage Barber Barker.
Frank retired from McDonald Douglas as plant supervisor over electrical maintenance. He enlisted in the US Army and fought in the Korean conflict. While he was able he loved flying his own personal planes. In his younger days he loved to spend time at Depew at his sister's home, Glenna and husband Eddie, visiting with his mother Ruby and a host of other relatives. He liked to try new things. He learned to scuba dive, he was a mechanical engineer in air conditioning. His hobbies included bowling and square dancing, he really loved to converse with friends and family and he also liked to go to air shows and motorcycle hill climbs.
He was preceded in death by both parents and wife Norma Barber. He is survived by three children, Wayne Barber and wife Lois, Laura Griffith and husband Chuck, Kenny Barber and wife Carla, and the mother of his children, Allene Meadows. Also surviving are five grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosemary Allee of Wichita, Kansas and Glenna Irvin of Depew, Oklahoma. Frank will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
