Dorothy Josephine Finegan, 88, lifelong resident of Sapulpa, joined her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at The Gardens Nursing Home in Sapulpa. Born on November 16, 1919, to Dennis and Mattie (Fielding) Bryan, she was preceded in death by James Melvern Finegan, her busband of 52 years, in October of 1994.Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann and husband, Charlie Johnson of Sapulpa, and daughter, Pat and husband, Richard Beck of Katy, Texas; granddaughter, Dana and husband, Mark Pistole of Stuart, Florida; grandson, Ken and wife, Lisa of Arlington, Texas, and granddaughter, Krista Beck of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Morgan Pistole, Emma Ferguson, Zachary Muscanere, and Phoebe Beck, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.Dorothy ran the credit bureau in Sapulpa for 40 years. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Sapulpa. She dearly loved her family and friends and could often be found swinging a golf club at Sapulpa'a Municipal Course.Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at Green Hill Funeral Home, until the entombment at 10 AM on Thursday, September 11, 2008.A service celebrating her life will be at 2 p.m., September 11, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church, 111 S. Oak Street in Sapulpa, with the Rev. Wally Johnson officiating.The family would like to thank the staff of The Gardens Nursing Home as well as Sojourn Care and Life's Journey for their loving care of our beloved Dorothy.Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Sapulpa Animal Shelter.
