      Lillie Violet Johnson, 98, passed away November 18, 2008 in Bakersfield, California. Lillie was born in Liberty-Morris Oklahoma to Alex and Mary "Webb" Spurgeon. Lillie was a long time resident of Sapulpa and has lived in Bakersfield, California for the past few years to be with her daughter and family. Lillie graduated from Liberty-Morris High School in 1927 and attended Northeastern State College in Tahlequah where she met Ted Johnson and they were married in 1930 and they were married for 52 years.       Lillie worked in the Sapulpa school system for many years as a teacher's aid. She had many hobbies that she liked from sewing and making a lot of her grandaughters dresses and she was known for her Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls that she made. Lillie was very involved in the First Baptist Church of Sapulpa. She loved to work in the church's crisis center and visit nursing homes and was very active in the "Yong at Heart" group at church.      A special "Thank You" to First Baptist Church where Lillie loved to serve and to her Sunday school class and so many members that sent cards and letters to her through the years she lived in Bakersfield, California.      Lillie is preceded in death by her husband, Ted W. Johnson; mother and father, Alex and Mary Spurgeon. Lillie is survived by son, Ted W. Johson, Jr. and wife, Jeaneen; Carol Rogers and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Terry Lynn Johnson, Randy Wayne Johnson, Angela Dall, Kim Yeomans, Stephanie Rowland and 9 great-grandchildren.      The family has entrusted the care of the services to the directors of Green Hill Funeral Home.
