Obituary of Edward Abbott

Edward Lee Abbott was born November 29, 1934 to Edith and Lee Abbott and was led home to rest by the hand of God on February 5, 2009.  Edward was born in Mills Chapel and was raised in Slick, Oklahoma and later graduated from Slick School.  After graduation he went on to serve four years in the Air Force. He returned home and married Helen Spencer.  Edward and Helen were blessed with the birth of four children; Randy, Laurie, Lisa and Denise.  He lived and raised his children in Kellyville, Oklahoma.  He was later united in marriage with Wanda Martin and was blessed with giving and receiving the love of Wanda's Children; Mark, Kim, Rhonda and Karen.Edward was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Edith Abbott, two sisters; Donna and Betty, two sons; Mark Barnett and Randy Abbott and one granddaughter, Rayna Jo.  He is survived by his wife, Wanda of the home, three brothers; Lorenzo, Richard, Freddie and sister, Rosetta, six children and their spouses; Laurie and husband, Mark, Kim and husband, Mike, Lisa and husband, Bill, Rhonda and husband, Tommy, Denise and husband, Bill, Karen and husband, Eugene, thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.His joys in life were his children, animals, worshiping the Lord, studying and teaching the Word of God.  His hobbies included fishing, gardening, working on small engines, camping and reading his bible.  He was always helping, giving and sharing the abundance of his blessings with others.  He was a very patient, caring, non-judgmental man with a smile for all he came across.  We will miss has smile that could light up a room.
