Obituary of ALVA STOCKTON

Alva Mearl Stockton was born on May 3, 1929 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Will and Ola Doughty. The family moved to Colcord in 1945 where Alva met and married Ules M. Duncan in 1946. Bob (Ules) and Alva had three daughters; Sue Jones, Gwen Brennan and Bonnie Ramsey. Alva had five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In 1970 she met and married W. L. Stockton and gained three step-children; Jim, Rick and Teresa and their families. Alva retired in 1990 from Frankoma Pottery where she was the Show Room Manager. Alva was preceded in death by her husband W.L., her parents Will and Ola Doughty, one brother Harold Doughty, three sisters; Winnie Doughty, Dorothy Rozzell, Thelma Byfield, one granddaughter Shelly Cruz.  Alva is survived by all three daughters, one son-in-law Ron Brennan, four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Also, sisters and one brother and their families; Fred & Hazel Doughty, Elsie & Carl Turner, Geneva & Lowell Ramsey, Olive & George Smith,Melba Kavenaugh and sister-in-law Florene Doughty. Alva was living in Wagoner, Oklahoma when she passed on February 19, 2009. All three of her daughters were at her bed side at the time of her passing.
