Obituary of Melba Rogers

Melba (Daniels) Rogers went to be with the Lord April 10, 2018 at the age of 92.  She was born April 3, 1926 in Jenks, Oklahoma to Archie and Helen Daniels.

Melba grew up in the Jenks area and was the second oldest of 10 children in her family.  She was a school cafeteria worker.  She was a wonderful mother and an excellent cook.  She enjoyed feeding everyone around her.  She made the best homemade egg noodles and bread and passed the recipes and skills to her daughter Verna.  She liked gardening and especially loved old fashioned flowers like blue bells and rose of Sharon.  She had a fondness for chocolate.  One of her favorite things was spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Morris Rogers; siblings Vernon, Eugene, Archie Ray, Raymond, Rosella, Mary Ann and Jeanetta.  She is survived by her daughter Verna Hulsbeck; siblings Cozetta Trolinger and husband Bobby Lee; and Marion Daniels and wife Bonita; grandchildren Michelle Spruill and husband Matthew, Shawn Griggs and wife Laurie; great-grandchildren Aaron, Tiffany, Rachel, Mia, Tyler, Brady, Haley; great, great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Sean, Sydney, Madison, Brailey, Aaron and Maddux.

Visitation-1:00pm-8:00pm Sunday April 15, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Chapel Sapulpa.

Funeral Service- 1:00pm Monday April 16, 2018

Final Resting Place- Green Hill Memorial Gardens Sapulpa.
