Obituary of Ronald Jim Hurley

Ronald Jim Hurley went to be with the Lord May 13, 2018 at the age of 51.  Ronald was born in January 15, 1967 in Ada, Oklahoma to Jimmie Hurley and Johnnie (Shook).

Ronald graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1985.  Later he attended Tulsa Tech and received certification in Diesel Mechanics.  He worked for 10 years at Bartlett Collins Glass and later in the steel industry.  He liked going to church and attended Life Church in Jenks.  He enjoyed going to Pow Wows, the Tulsa Raceway, horse races. Listening to classic and alternative rock music and Mexican food was always a favorite.

Ronald was blessed with 3 daughters, 6 granddaughters and had a grandson on the way.  He loved spending time with his family and granddaughters.  To his granddaughters he was the “Best PawPaw Ever!” and they loved spending the night and having fun with him.  He was an affectionate PawPaw, had a great sense of humor, loved to tease and joke, and could be a goofball.  He was a generous man and would give his last cent away if someone else had a need.  His daughters will always remember his daily texts that said, “This is your Dad – I love you,” and how he always said “Oops, you bumped your head,” if someone forgot something.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father Jimmie Lynn Hurley; and aunts Susie Shook and Robbie Tackett.  He is survived by his mother Johnnie Davenport; daughters Taylor Hurley and Warren Perry; Tiona Hurley and Chris Raper; Tarron Gaches and husband Joseph; aunt Alisha Kirksey; granddaughters Chloe, Madyson, Natalie, Skylar, Alyssa, Ember, his first grandson “on the way” and the mother of his children, Tiffany Hurley. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ronald was deeply loved by his family.  They will miss his loving presence in their lives and will always treasure the many memories time spent together.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 18, 2018 with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 4-8 pm at Green Hill on Thursday at Green Hill.
