Obituary of Norman Lee Jackson

Norman Lee Jackson was born on July 12, 1943 at Durant, OK to the late Jess Norman Jackson born on March 7, 1918, at Blue Ridge, TX and the late Violet Jackson born at Blue Ridge, TX on November 23, 1923.

Norman was a loving father, son, grandfather, uncle and friend.  He had a great love for his dog.  So much so, that the rest of the family knew their place.  He loved Country and Western music.  Norman was an Army veteran, retiring after 34 and a half years of service.  He also retired from federal Civil service after 29 years and the Department of Corrections after 8 years.  He served on The Strother Board of Education for 13 years. He was an Honorary Chapter Foreman of the FFA, a Lifetime member of the National Guard Association, a member of the National Guard and a Member of the American Legion in Tulsa, OK.

Norman is survived by his four-legged companion, Penny Marie Jackson; his sons, Jeffrey Jackson and wife, Tana of Oklahoma City, Ok and Norman Jackson and wife, Nora of Seminole, OK; his daughter, LeaAnn McDaniel and husband, Chip of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Chelsea Sims and husband, Dalton of Edmond, OK, Maddie Jackson of Norman, OK, Montana Jackson of Luther, OK, Patrick Netherclift of Atlanta, GA, Katlin Henson, Kelsie Stanfill, Kalea Coleman, and Joseph Stanfill all of Seminole, OK.  He is also survived by his brother, Donnie Jackson and wife, Betty of Sapulpa, OK, sisters, Linda June Radican of Garland, TX and Carolyn Dickerson and husband, Phil of Bixby, OK, an aunt, Louise Beaubien of Colbert, OK, nieces and nephews, Teresa Cowart, Leslie Haynes and Husband, John, Laura Snider and husband, Jerry, Amy Holmes and a host of other relatives and a ton of friends. 

Norman was predeceased by one son, Walter Allen Rowe, one nephew, Jeremy Jackson and a brother-in-law Dale Radican.

Service will be held Wednesday, 10:00AM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa, OK.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, OK. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
