Obituary of Christopher Ryan Haggerty

Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Christopher Ryan Haggerty, aka “King Hag,” passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018.  Chris was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 29, 1973 to parents Paul Edward Haggerty, IV and Sheila Ann (Wilhem).

Chris attended Sapulpa Public Schools and Art School.  He was affiliated with the Baptist church and was saved and baptized at a young age.  He worked with his dad and they owned King Hag Kustom.  What a wonderful talent Chris had with his love of old cars – he made cars beautiful again.  He had a gift for seeing the diamond in the rough.  He called it metal surgery.  There were nights that he had worked all day and would fall asleep in the shop.

As a young child he loved to draw and had such a soft heart, always caring for others and wanting to help.  He and his brother Paul went on many trips with their grandparents; to the lake, fishing, Jelly Stone, Shepherd of the Hills and Spavinaw.  There were always many stories when they returned from a trip. He played soccer, T-ball, was a cub scout and loved drawing. He had an old soul and the kindest heart.  He was truly a blessing to his family.  He loved Chris Isaak, many oldies, rockabilly music, Star Wars, PacMan, Battle Star Galactica and Star Trek.  He had 2 beautiful children and he loved them with all his heart; Ruby Ann and Deaglan Haggerty.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and Curtis Wilhelm and Sue and Paul Haggerty, III; He leaves behind his mother Sheila Ann Simmons and husband Ned; father Paul Edward Haggerty, IV; brother Paul Edward Haggerty, V; sister Laura K. Haggerty; children Ruby Ann Haggerty and Deaglan Fionn Haggerty; step-brothers Chris and Jeff Simmons; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.  Chris may be gone from this life, but he will always remain in the hearts and minds of the family and friends that loved him.
