Obituary of Melvin Guess

November 18, 1960 a baby boy, Melvin Guess, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mr. and Mrs. Alton and Opal Guess.  Melvin went to be with the Lord at St. John Medical Center on July 7, 2018.

Melvin attended Cornerstone Baptist Church as a child and graduated from Daniel Webster High School.  He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed making those around him laugh and smile.  Although Melvin never married or had children of his own, he enjoyed the children in his life.  He was an uncle to many nephews and nieces in South Haven, whom he loved very much.  Melvin truly enjoyed his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alton and Opal Guess; his brother Alven Guess; and his sister Betty Guess.  He is survived by siblings Lillie Hooks and her husband Gene of Bristow, OK; Juanita Escoe and her husband John of Okataha, OK; and one loving Aunt Everett Hamilton of Tulsa, OK.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom he loved very much.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 11:00 am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa with burial in Rogers Chapel Cemetery in Slick, OK.  Visitation will be held at Green Hill from 10 am until 8 pm on Friday, July 13, 2018.  The family has entrusted the services to Green Hill Funeral Home 400 E.
