Obituary of Donald Elbert Tyre

Donald E. Tyre 68 of Claremore passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018 at the Porta Caeli House in Tulsa.

Don was born July 18, 1950 in Lebanon, Missouri to Charles and Helen Tyre.  He had two brothers G.W. (Grumpy) and Michael Tyre and one sister Brenda.

Don and Rita were married on May 17, 1968 in Lebanon, Missouri. 

Don worked in the flooring and countertop industry as a sales representative.  He sold granite, tile and insulation.

Don’s hobbies included collecting clowns, racing, basketball, hunting, fishing and coaching.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Tyre, sister Brenda Patton and grandson Kendall Tyre.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Rita Tyre, daughter Julie Daujotas and her husband Eric of Owasso, Oklahoma, two sons Jason Tyre and his wife Jessica of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Justin Tyre and his wife Christy of Claremore, Oklahoma.  Grandchildren Zachary and Violet Daujotas of Owasso, Oklahoma, Jonathan, Halley, Jackson and Gunner Tyre of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Wyatt Tyre of Claremore, Oklahoma. Several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Aug 18 from 11:00-12:00 PM at First Baptist Church - Owasso 13307 E 96th St N, Owasso
