Obituary of Sharon Kay Baumgartner

Sharon Kay (Hart) Baumgartner was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana August 1, 1946 to James Hart and Louisa (Barrand).  She was one of 9 children.  She went to be with the Lord October 27, 2018 at the age of 72.

Sharon married Gordon Baumgartner and they spent 30 years together before he passed away.  The couple raised a family together.  Sharon was a happy homemaker.  She enjoyed crochet, quilting and ceramics.  She loved drinking coffee, eating sour popsicles, watching the Young and the Restless and Donald Trump.  She was a proud Republican.  Sharon was headstrong and outspoken.  She believed that “Mama knows best.”  But she was very family oriented and loved her family dearly.  She had a quirky sense of humor and was always fun to be around.  She and her friends enjoyed playing tricks on one another.  She had a big heart and was happy to take those she loved in and make them family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Louisa Purcifull; father James Hart; brothers Donald Hart and Chester Hart; and sons-in-law Mike Potter and Don Feltz.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Rhonda Amaro and spouse Jaime of Sapulpa; daughter Regina Ladd and spouse Larry of Broken Arrow; daughter Mary Thomas and spouse Ray of Broken Arrow; son Scott Ayres and spouse Carla of Tulsa; daughter Christina Bruton and spouse Willie of Mannford; daughter Kelli Schonfield and spouse Eddie of Kellyville; Son-in-law Tom Cook of Tulsa; siblings Jim Hart and wife Corrine, Janice Gatlin, Barb Teague, David Hart and wife Sharon, Lee Windsor and wife Mary, and Mike Windsor and wife Joan; grandchildren Jamie, Jodie, Samantha, Shelbie, Andrew, Stephen, Alicia, Zack, Alexander, Christopher, Hailie and Nicholas; 35 great-grandchildren; friends Maria Juarez and Merle Laughter and very best friends Joan Windsor (sister-in-law) and Frankie Henderson.
