Obituary of Russell Martin Mounger

Russell Martin Mounger, often known as “Goldy,” was born in Stigler, Oklahoma on October 10, 1971.  He was the oldest of 2 boys and spent most of his life in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.   He passed away on December 21, 2018 at the age of 47.

He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, camping and hunting.  He loved animals. He was passionate about music and loved going to rock concerts.  He loved his children and his mother Patti.  He liked helping people.  He had many friends and was always willing to listening to their problems and was ready to open his home if someone needed a place to stay. 

Russell was preceded in death by his grandfather Fred Mounger, grandmother Wanda Mounger, Uncle Kelly Mounger, cousin Christopher Roschal and adopted daughter Brandy Mounger.  He is survived by his mother Patti Santa Maria, daughter Rusti Mounger, son Tony Mounger, grandchildren Melody, Trinity and Bryir, brothers Jason Mounger and Ozzy Santa Maria, Uncle Layton Harman, Uncle Pete Roschal, Aunt Kathy Roschal as well as many more friends and relatives. 

Russell was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  Memories made with those he loved, have become treasures in the hearts of those left behind.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 2 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is from 3-8 pm on Wednesday at Green Hill. 400 E. Teel Rd. Sapulpa, OK 918-224-2312
