Obituary of HOMER RIDEOUT

Homer Harrison Rideout was born on June 10, 1944 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to Homer L. and Frankie Rideout. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 67. On June 24, 1967, Homer Rideout and Linda Cochran were united in marriage and were blessed with a daughter Angel Rideout on January 15, 1972. Homer worked at Sun Motor Supply from 1961-1989 with the closing of the plant, he then went to work at BC Glass from 1989-2008. He attended Glenpool Public Schools. Homer is survived by his wife, Linda and daughter, Angel of the home; mother, Frankie Rideout and sister, Elaine (George) Crabtree of Glenpool; sister, Beverly Marshall of Tahlequah, Ok; sister, Becky Loyd of Tulsa; brother, Tracy (Betty) Rideout of Twin Hills, Ok; Brother and sister-in-laws Kenneth and Donna Cochran, Bobby and Mary Cochran all of Sapulpa; his fishing buddy and nephew, Kenny Cochran, Jr.; his two special nieces, Pamela Cochran and Kayela Cochran of Sapulpa and Homer's pride and joy was his "Little Bit" RaeLynn Montgomery and Jon Weaver. Homer was preceded in death by his dad, Homer L. Rideout and his in-laws, James and Louiese Cochran. Homer loved watching John Wayne movies and working puzzles. He loved the outdoors, gardening, planting beautiful flowers and feeding his wild birds. However, going down to the fishing pond, trying to earn bragging right for catching the biggest fish against his nephew, Kenny was his greatest pleasure in life.
