Obituary of Billy John Chappell

Billy John Chappell of Tulsa was born December 26, 1941 in Caddo, Oklahoma to Lewis and Velma (Bunch) Chappell.  He passed from this life March 20, 2019, on his 54^th Wedding Anniversary.

Billy grew up in Bennington, Oklahoma, attending school there.  He met Carolyn Deckard in Tulsa, when he came by her home to give her dad a ride to work.  Billy and Carolyn were married March 20, 1965 in Tulsa, at his Aunt’s residence.  The couple lived in Tulsa, where he worked as a machinist, until he retired.  They were blessed with 2 daughters; Tammy and Terri. Billy had great love for his family and had a special bond with his nephews Little James, Jon and Jake.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Lewis Chappell and Velma Mae Dasch.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughter Tammy Newman and husband David; daughter Terri Ehmann and husband Chuck; granddaughters Aimee and Allison; grandson Christopher; great-grandson Gabriel; brother David Dason; sister Linda Burgess; many nieces and nephews that he loved so much.

Visitation - Monday March 25, 2019 from 1:00pm - 8:00pm at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel Sapulpa.

Funeral Service - 10:00am Tuesday March 26, 2019 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel Sapulpa.

Final Resting Place - Green Hill Memorial Gardens Sapulpa.
