Obituary of Charles Edward Vaughn JR.

Charles “Charlie” Edward Vaughn, Jr. was born on November 11, 1945 in Nashville, TN to Charles E. Vaughn, Sr. and Carolyn Marie Phillips Vaughn. He passed away at St. John`s Hospital after an extended illness at the age 73. 

Charlie married his wife, Ruth Ann Relford Vaughn in Nashville, TN on January 17, 1970. He graduated from Belmont University with a bachelor’s degree. He was also a past President of the Tulsa Jaycees from 1975 to 1976. He received the National Speak Up Award for US Jaycees, JCI Senator and Oklahoma Jaycees. Charlie was a member of LUTCF, Fellow of Life Underwriters Training Council, Past President of Tulsa Assoc of Life Underwriters, Grand Lodge of OK, AF and AM, Akdar Lodge No. 555 of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enjoyed Fishing, Camping and Shooting.

He is survived by his loving wife; Ruth Ann Relford Vaughn of Owasso, OK, sons; Michael Brett Vaughn of Oakland, CA. Brad Niess, son-in-law of Oakland, CA. Everett Jefferson Vaughn and wife Alena of Franklin, TN. daughters; Jennifer K. Vaughn of Tulsa, OK. Lori Vaughn Argo of Smyrna, TN. grandchildren; Bradley Vaughn and Maisy Vaughn of Franklin, TN. Three more grandsons and one granddaughter of Nashville, TN. Six great- grandchildren, brother; Leonard Michael Vaughn of Nashville, TN. sister; Margaret Elaine Vaughn Tucker of Nashville, TN.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father; Charles Edward Vaughn Sr., mother; Carolyn Marie Phillips Vaughn and brother; Roger Dale Vaughn.
