Obituary of Bonnye Otoka Walter

Bonnye “Otoka” Walter, was born April 19, 1924 and went to be with her Lord and Savior June 11, 2019.

After meeting the true love of her life, Bill Walter, Sr., they were married on January 13, 1942.  As soon as she found Bill, Otoka lost him for 4 years to the U.S. Army, but her returned to her!!

Life in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s were one travesty followed by another.  The great depression, followed by food shortages, no jobs and World Warr II.  Finally, some rest.  During that time, with all the stress, it either made a person or destroyed them.  Bill and Otoka formed a strong relationship with the mercies and grace of God. Their strong relationship brought forth a marriage which lasted for over 73 years.  She was married to the same man for over 73 years! 

Otoka lived her life according to the Word of God.  She studied the Bible each day only to grow more and more, day by day, in the Word of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She shared her knowledge with anyone that would listen and prayed for all lost and saved souls.  As in the book of Romans – to perform her reasonable service to her Lord and Savior.  She was an evangelist everywhere she went.  At the grocery store, on walks…everywhere.  She held fast to her beliefs right until the day she moved to Heaven.  No more pain or suffering, no more eyeglasses or cane, she is at perfect peace, joyful for ever more in the arms of Jesus.  The moment she moved into Heaven all sickness was healed, for this is the Word of God and his promise.

Well done Otoka, well done!!
