Obituary of Ronald Jay Atkins

Ronald Jay Atkins went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2019 at the age of 61 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at St. John’s Medical Center.

Ronald was born December 17, 1957 in Sapulpa, OK at St. John’s Medical Center (Formerly) Bartlett Memorial Hospital to Alton Jay Atkins and Patsy Ruth (Long) Atkins.  He had 1 sister, and 1 brother.  Ronald grew up in Sapulpa his entire life.  He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1976.  Ronald married Iva Jane (Fahnholz) Atkins on June 16, 1979.  They were married at Southern Hills Baptist in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  Ronald and Iva had 4 children together 1 daughter and 3 sons.  Later in life Ronald took mechanic school, security guard courses, and some accounting.  Ronald’s last job was as a security guard with Diamond Security.  He also worked at BC glass in his lifetime.  Ronald worked hard when he was able before his health declined.   Ronald lived in towns of Sapulpa, and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed watching westerns, occasional football games, and car races.  Ronald’s achievements are being a father and grandfather.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Iva; his parents Alton And Patsy Atkins, brother Darrell Wayne Atkins, and sister Melissa Ann Atkins. 

Ronald is survived by his children Patsy Hardesty, Jeremy Atkins, Timothy Atkins, and Ronald Atkins; grandchildren Iva Jo Hardesty, Kylie Jane Atkins, Joseph Allen Hardesty, and Fredrick Grant Hardesty.

Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel located at 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa, OK (918) 224-2312
