Obituary of Elsie Jean Collins

Elsie Jean (Jeannie) Collins, 91 of Sapulpa went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 12, 2019. She was born on December 4, 1928 in Sapulpa to Boyd Culp and Violet (Wallis) Stinebuck. 

Jeannie graduated from Allen Bowden then from Sapulpa High School. She retired after 30 years of service from Frankoma Pottery. She married her soul mate and the love of her life Joe Collins in 1948, they were happily married for 61 years, until his passing in January 2009. They had no children from this union, however loved many others.  They loved and claimed as their “grafted in” daughter Lee Ann Kreps.  Jeannie loved and enjoyed spending special time with her best friend Georgia’s faithful children, especially Jan Duke, Chuck and Judy Canary. Jeannie loved to write poems and journal. Many were blessed to receive them. They were written from her heart.

She is survived by one nephew Bill Stinebuck of Bartlesville, one favorite cousin, Pat Wiles of Sutherlin Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Violet Stinebuck, husband Joe Collins, brother Boyd “Buck” and his wife Reba Sue Stinebuck.   

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Aug 15 at 10:00 AM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug 14 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa
Elsie's Final Resting Place is Green Hill Memorial Gardens 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa
